Sites

Sites refers to your Hosting Sites. These are Internet IP's that provide space and bandwidth for your pages. There are two types of Hosting services, FREE and PAID.

FREE Sites provide free space and bandwidth. To pay for this service you often must place banners at the top and bottem of you pages. This is often done automaticly.

PAID Sites provide space and bandwidth for some fee schedule.


Using Site Records

You may view your site records by clicking on the tab marked 'Sites'. You will see a browse window which contains a list of all your Hosting Sites. You will also see a group of buttons down the righthand side.

Add/Edit Site button allow you to add/edit/delete site records. (See Add Edit Records for more information)

Go Host button takes you to the URL which is stored in the SITEURL field of the currently selected Site. (See URL Fields for more information)

Host Help button takes you to the URL which is stored in the HELPURL field of the currently selected Site.(See URL Fields for more information)

Go Upload button takes you to the URL which is stored in the UPLOADURL field of the currently selected Site.(See URL Fields for more information) If you have put FTP in the UPLOADTYPE field it will take you to the FTP program stored on the System tab page.

Expired Pages button shows all pages of the currently selected Site which require re-posting at its posting sites. A Page has Expired when its last postdated date + DAYSTOPOST field (in Post database) is less than or equal to todays date. The last posted date is updated when you go to a post site via Xmanage.

Expired Pics button shows all pages of the currently selected Site which require new pictures and thumbs to be uploaded to your Site. A Page has Expired when its LASTUPDATED date + DAYSUPDATE field (in Page database) is less than or equal to todays date. The LASTUPDATED date is updated when you press the Mark Updated button.

Comment button allows you to view and edit the comment of the currently selected Site. You can store any kind of text information here.
