This tutorial assumes you allready have one or more web servers set up with one or more pages per server and that you a know how to post, upload and maintain your pages.
If you have more than a few pages the following is a lot of work, but is well worth it. Having all the files and programs you need to maintain a group of web sites all in one place at your finger tips will let you double or triple the number of web pages you can maintain with the same amount of effort.
If you currently maintain alot of web pages you may want to add just a host or two a day. Or try the new Clone Site function to copy all the records from an old site to a new one. Or the Scan folder function to automaticly enter all HTML files in a folder to the Xmanage database. (Note: Its best to enter all your Sponsors, Banners and Post sites, Buttons before using, since Scan will autmaticly make the associations to your HTML files.)
First, you need to organize your files on your hard drive. Though Xmanage does not care where or how your files are organized, it is easier to find and maintain your files if they are organized in a logical order. Each site and each sponsor should have its own subdirectory (folder) to store HTML code for the pages and banners respectively. Under each site you should have a subdirectory (folder) to store the current set of pictures. This makes it easier to upload. Also you should always standardize your pic's and thumbnail file names. If you do, you will not need to edit and upload your HTML code each time you change pics.
Second, Enter your HTML editor program, Graphics or Thumbnail program, Auxiliary program (any other program that helps you put together your pages),Your default email address used in posting, and your default handle used in posting on the SYSTEM tab page. Then press Save Settings to save this info.
A quick way to enter this info is to right click the program short cut, select properties, press CTRL-C, go to the field in Xmanage for that program and press CTRL-V. This will copy the full path name of the program and paste it into th Xmanage field.
Note: Xmanage does not like spaces in the path name. Use the DOS name for any sections of the path that contain spaces. ie.
C:/Progam Files/MyProg/MY.EXE => C:/Progam~1/MyProg/MY.EXE
Or be sure you have quotes arround the entry.
Third, enter the info for all your current sponsors. A quick way to do this is to go to the sponsor's site and highlight the address in your browser, press CTRL-C, go to or add the sponsor's record in Xmanage and select the URL field, then press CTRL-V.
For each sponsor add the banners you use for that sponsor.
Fourth, enter the info for all your current post sites. A quick way to do this is to go to the post site and highlight the address in your browser, press CTRL-C, edit or add the post site record, and select the URL field, then press CTRL-V.
Note: the comment will be displayed when posting to the site. Its a good idea to put any special instructions here.
Fifth, enter the info for all your current Host sites. A quick way to do this is to go to the Host site and highlight the address in your browser, press CTRL-C, edit or add the Host site record, and select the URL field, then press CTRL-V. Note: Demo version allows only two Host sites!
Sixth, Select a Host site. Select pages. Add all the pages for that site. Be sure that each page has a unique page name. Be sure to enter the file name (the complete path) and URL's for the page. A quick way to do this is to go to the page and highlight the address in your browser, press CTRL-C, edit or add the page record, and select the URL field, then press CTRL-V. Do the same for each Host Site.
After entering the first page you can enter the rest by using the Clone Page button. You simply edit the record to change the fields that are different. You will find this much easier than adding a page from scratch.
Seventh, For each page select Sponsor/Banners. Select all the Sponsor and their banners you are using on this page. Note: you can add sponsors and banners missed now. An easy way to do this is to either to view the HTML code (Press Edit HTML) or view the page (press View Local Page) locally or (press Go Page) online.
While you are viewing the code you may want to copy code that is reusable to the Common Code area. Just highlight the code you wish to copy and press CTRL-C go to Common Code position the cursor where you want to Paste and press CTRL-V. Be sure to lable the code so you know what it is in the future!
Eighth, For each page select Post Sites. Select all the Post Sites that you are using on this page. Note: you can add Post Sites missed now. An easy way to do this is to either to view the HTML code (Press Edit HTML) or view the page (press View Local Page) locally or (press Go Page) online.

That does it. You are now ready to post sites. Select Post Sites, select the Post Site,
then press Post Page to go to the Posting Site. You will notice that an additional window
pops up. It contains information needed to post to most Post sites. You may copy and Paste
from this window into the Post Sites entry form fields. You need not close this window, it will be updated for each page you post.
You can also use the expired pics's button and the expired post button found on the Site tab page. These buttons will bring up a list of pages that require new pics and reposting respecively.
